It’s summer. It’s hot... (possibly). You want to watch a film. All the screens at the cinema have been taken over by summer blockbusters, and you’re sick and tired of being subconsciously forced to watch the latest comic book reboot, or seing robots hit each other for two and a half hours. What do you do?
Well, if you want to watch a film, and you want a change of scenery, as well as take advantage of the rare occasion we in Britain get exposed to the sun, then why not try the urban environment of the Rooftop Film Club.
Located on top of the Queen of Hoxton pub/bar in Shoreditch, the open air Rooftop Film Club will screen films five nights a week, plus a whole array of events and parties. Film lovers will be able to eat, drink, and watch your favourite films all at the same time. Recent new releases like The Social Network, as well as cult and classic films ranging from Pulp Fiction, The Terminator, to The Breatfast Club, and Dirty Dancing are some of the films you will expect to see there.
The rooftop holds up to 100 people, and each of these is equipped with wireless headphones and comfy chairs. The cinema will run from June all the way until September. For more information regarding film screenings, bookings and the venue itself visit www.rooftopfilmclub.com.
